Psychological First Aid Training (KansasTRAIN ID: 1082086)
Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
SAVE THE DATE: 2019 Ancillary Healthcare Preparedness Summit: May 14, 2019 (KansasTRAIN ID:1082090)
This Summit will be an opportunity to provide education, connection to partners, and to evaluate internal plans and procedures through a community functional exercise. The one-day conference will review emergency preparedness basics, Incident Command System principles, share lessons learned during real incidents, and planning best practices. The goal of the summit is to provide education as well as networking opportunities to connect ancillary healthcare facilities with similar and nearby facilities as well as emergency response agencies.

At the February coalition meeting we will be completing our annual regional Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA). Your hazard rankings will be analyzed and we'll walk through a discussion together to finalize our region's HVA.
